What am I looking at?
Universe — one stream of up to 512 channels from a lighting console or device. Pick one above.
Channel — a single value (0–255) that controls one thing: a dimmer, a colour, a position.
The grid — all 512 channels, colour-coded by level (dark = 0, warm = high). Cells flash when they change.
fps — how many updates per second are arriving (a healthy console sends ~30–44).
